Default Ground Blinds

Hey guys! Who hear hunts from ground blinds. I want a good blind that is not a ton of money but will work to conceal any movement and such.
Let me know what works for you all.

Thanks,
Jim

Double Bull and Ameristep both make dandy blinds.

That's the one I was referring too....I hunted out of an Ameristep Doghouse, and this is roughly the same. I didn't have enough room to draw my bow without sticking the arrow out of the window.

I've got an Ameristep Doghouse TSC. I would recommend you get the largest one possible. I'd like to get a Doulble Bull someday but the Doghouse will do fine for now. If you look at the Doghouse, just be aware there is a TSC version and a regular and the TSC is larger. [link]http://www.ameristep.com/blinds/index.html[/link] Eastman has some not too expensive, similar to Ameristep. [link]http://www.eastmanoutfitters.com/blinds.shtml[/link]

I bought one of those last year. I found that the shoot thru window were to small and was too dark inside. You had to have the big window unzipped to shoot out of. I left it up and we had a couple good snow storms with wet snow and it broke one of the roof supports.

I know how you can get one for free...

Build it from dead fall. Just create a nice groundblind out of dead limbs and branches. If you want take some 2x4's and cut them to a point to drive into the ground at the four corners for a frame. Some wire might help to hold the dead fall...

They work just as good as the bought ones, only are not portable. But from my experiences the longer you leave it out there the less likely deer are to notice it, no matter if its bought or built...So if youre not looking for portability then build one...
