Default It Pays to Support your local Pro / Bait Shop

I would try to make this long story short , but its not gonna happen so here comes the whole nine yards.
I've been going to this local Pro / Bait shop for years and I got to know the owners really good .
Thru the years we became friends , now around this time of year they are always busy trying to get fellow hunters set - up and ready to hunt before opening day .
About a week ago I had ordered six arrows to be cut , fletched and nocked.
They called today to tell my arrows are ready so I went to pick them up , now this is where the story gets in depth.
I retired from G.M. three weeks ago , my wife and I agreed that my 80 hour vacation check would go towards a new bow.
That check came in the mail last week , now I wasn't thinking of getting a new bow now so close to opening day.
When I got to my favroite pro shop to get my arrows they sirprized me with a brand new Darton Marauder with a Tru Glow sight , some type of drop away rest and a four arrow quiver all set up and ready to go.
I'm looking at them all confused and then they tell that my wife had ordered and paid for this bow as retirement gift for me.
Well let me tell ya I was happy as a clam , a pig in a waller I felt like I had won the lottery.
I took my brand new bow and the arrows I had ordered home and gave my loving wife a big hug and kiss and then went out in my backyard play with my new toy.
I was really impressed with this bow , not only did it shoot fast and quiet there was no vibrition at all and the doesn't have a stablelizer on it.
I shot three arrows at ten and three arrows at twenty yards , all six arrows hit the boiler room mark on my 3D Glen Del buck in a real tight group.
Thats why I say it pays to support your local pro/bait shops , my friends at Bass - N - Sport worked with my wife to sirprize me with a gift like that .
It was totaly awesome.

Sometyhing tells me it would have gone a little differently if you'd been buying your stuff at Walmart over the years.

Congrats on the bow, the great wife and here's to a long happy retirement!
