Default All Day Hunts?

We're all aware of the importance of being in our stands all day during the rut to capitalize on this oppertunity to catch a buck off guard. How many of us actually do this? Just curious, and no BSing.

Hunted all day many of times. I enjoy it. If I get tired of it I go home. When the rut is on I find that 10 to 1 is the hot time for chaseing. But since I'm already there at 1 theres no since in going home.

I've done it a few times and would consider doing it more often if their were monster deer roaming the woods. During the rut I normally hunt from sun-up until ~2:00pm. Then I ease out and take a break and either call it a day or head back to another stand for the last hour & a half or so before dark.

Every time I hunt in the late season I stay on stand all day.

Roughly 15 days a year. Dark-thirty 'till dark-thirty.

Most of my (archery) hunts are all day (1/2hr before sun till 1/2hr after dark). If I make the drive (min 1.5hrs) and have put in all the work with stands and scouting I don't want to miss a minute of the season, plus most ofmy stands are permanent with large platforms so I can stand up, stretch, and touch my toes.
Last day of season last year I spent 10hrs in -15c, it snowed for1/2 the time, hanging off a tree in a tinylock-on stand, but I still had a tag and knew it would be a long time till I had the chance again.

I've only done it dark to dark a few times.
I just need a mid day break I guess.
I know I should stay all day more often but like my hunting partner says
"when it stops being fun, why do it?"

I usually get to my stand about an hour before sunup and stay til about 10-11am
I then still hunt/sneak towrds my partners stand. I have shot quite a few deer during my "sneaks". Besides, it's fun for me to see how close I can get to his stand before he sees me. Often I get to the bottom of his tree! No wonder I shoot more deer than he does!
Then we head to the truck for lunch. Sometimes we go into town for lunch.
We'll even take a short nap once in a while.

Back in the stand about 1 pm. Hunt til 1/2 hour after dark, stay about another 15 minutes and then get down and meet him at the truck or go to the truck and drive to get him depending on which stand he is in. He is 70 years old and can't walk as far as I can.

We hunt for the challenge, friendship and FUN. We are not out to torture ourselves over it.
We shoot plenty of deer this way.

I do have to hand it to you guys that can hunt all day though.
Maybe not the biggest bucks but we aren't going to starve!
