I got a phone call from from a guy I know and he invited me to his 3,000 acre managed hunting ranch in texas. It is not high fenced but as some amazingly huge monster bucks. He has been feeding protien for years and in 2 weeks from this weekend I may have a good chance of shooting the biggest buck of my life!:D

Sounds like a great time ahead. Anywhere in the state can produce some sweet bucks if it has been managed for a while, throw in some protien and it will only get better.

Did he mention what part of the state the ranch is located?

You lucky dog! I so wish I could get that opportunity. I hunt on a 300 acre plot in Cherokee. It's nice but kinda depleted. Best of luck.

The ranch is up north of Witcha Falls, TX by the Red River. I saw some of his trail cam pics and the bucks are enormous. I just got off the phone with the guy b/c we are both pumped about going and love to talk about how we are going to get some trophy buck. It's going to take all of my energy to sit here and wait for two weeks to pass by. Also what I'm pumped up about is sticking a big hog. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

That's is some pretty land up there, not the dust bowl cactus land most people associate with Texas hunting.

You say you are going in2 weeks?I would think they would be in an early pre-rut phase by then.
