Freezers not empty........
#1
Well long story short, last night at 5:15 while sitting on the spine of a ridge, covered in oaks dropping acorns i took Doe #1 for the year. Ended up seeing 4 does, 4 fawns and a small 8 point while in stand. the doe went about 90 pounds, which for New Jersey is a good sized one. Double lunged her at 22 yards and the NAP Spitfire did its work dropping it within 80 yards. Ended up being a 300 yarddrag out to the field where i gutted her, and when i got to the field edge there were 8 great bucks in the field with 2 of them being bruisers. What a night to be out in the woods.
ps- went out this morning and only saw a small spike, what a difference a couple of hours can make.

Great Job man. Seems like there were several scores yesterday evening. Mine will hang in the cooler for about a week and a half before it goes to the freezer.

I see you are from mountain lakes, I'm from parsippany. Did you get the deer in mountain lakes? I heard there is an overpopulation of deer in your town and they were going to open a few areas to bowhunt only, however you need to pass a test and get a special permit. All information that you know about it would be very much appreciated because mountain lakes is much closer to me than the property i hunt in wantage.
thanks, chris b.
