I was taught to use one eye and I always did , now I'll close one eye to aim but once I have my target sighted in I'll shoot with both eyes wide open to follow thru.

If you're going to be a hunter you should really try to learn both eyes open. Way to often your shots are at first light and/or just before dark. Add with that most hunt in the woods....low light is an issue for everybody. Learning both eyes open greatly helps inlow light sight, andtarget/spot recognition.

Good Luck to all!

I shoot my bows, shotguns and scoped rifles with both eyes open. You lose your depth perception with one eye closed.

I can't focus with both eyes open.

I've tried to shoot with both open, but everything blurs out.

Both eyes always open--makes it easier to see the arrow in flight.

I have the same problem as some have stated above. If I shoot with both open my arrow will hit about 2-3' to the left. I guess that means I'm left eye dominant. Also things blur on me too. Are there ways to correct this?

I switched to shooting with both eyes open 5-6 years ago and I really like the field ofview that I get. A couple of weeks ago I shot a few arrows with one eye open and was suprised at just howsmall the sight picture was.

I've been shooting 1 eye, my whole life. But this year, I made a switch and tried 2 eyes. It's made me a better shooter. All I can say to give it a try.
