This is the part that I'm sold on. The part that I'm not sold on is that one is better than the other. I've looked around the internet and all the camo companies and clothing makers show folks standing in bushes or low hanging trees. Of course you are going to be concealed.

So who is going to be the first to go out in party shirt instead of their favorite tree pattern?

We need a hunting clothing revolution. I for one am never going to spend serious dough on camo patterns.

I would not expect the new Digi camo for the Army or Marines to be very good for hunting purposes, as its purpose is to camouflage one human from another.

statjunk, you are basically right. I don't feel you can go wrong with just about any open pattern, but what sold me on the Enigma is the material and craftsmanship. That Wolfskin is simply amazing, and to get Predator in Wolfskin is about twice the cost. Couple that with Chuck's emphasis on customer service, and that's all it took. Besides, that pattern, IMO, is superior to most. It is simply hard to focus on...

Most camos can be effective in certain terrain. I believe the biggest key is breaking up the human outline more so than the actual color of camo. Camo companies like ASAT, Predator, God's Country and Skyline all do a good job of that.

Actually deer dont see blue very well at all. Some shades of blue are invisible to them.

Open patterns have theit place but maybe not in all situations. Last weekend i was on stand with a background of thick cedars. I was wearing predator evolution a light open pattern with some leaves on it. As the sun went down and the cedars began to darken I realized that I positively stood out and glowed! A blob pattern like MOBU would have been better. In the daylight with the dappled light in the forest the predator evolution looks great!
