Just wonderin but why didnt you shoot the sikas? i was gonna do some huntin down there thsi year for them but i dont have the time this year so maybe next year, But i would really like to kill a sika, so thats why i was just askin cuz i would have shot one of them befor the whitetail
I try not to shoot sika does (hinds) as they breed slower than whitetails, usually only having one fawn a year. Plus, the biggest of the sikas I saw would have dressed out at about 45 pounds, figured a big fat whitetail would go better in the freezer:D
