Default What the heck?

This morning, I did a bit of scouting/squirrel hunting before bowseason. I climbed up in my stand and listened to birds for a bit. I looked up and there was a groundhog so i fumbled around looking for .22 shell in my pocket trying to load it. i heard a squeal and looked up in time to see a black thing carry the groundhog into the woods. the black thing looked like a cat. it had a long sausage like tail, it bent it's knees when it walked and it more or less slinked off. it's head was short and it had small ears. i can rember it very well. I almost shot it but decided against it because i had no clue what it was. I didnt get down for a long while and i sure made a ton of noise getting out of there. My skin almost popped my goosebumps were so big! any clue what it was?

Maybe it was that thing that attacked you back in the spring? Did you ever post pics of that?

I'm guessing it was a fisher. they are suppose to be pretty destrucive to the animals in the area they live, I would shoot it if it is in season and you see it again. here is a pic to compare it to wat you saw

That looks like the thing that attacked me only i didnt notice a white spot on it's chest. this thing i saw this morning was bigger than a fisher, it was carrying a full sized groundhog. i'd say it was about the size of a lab or a bit smaller
