Ropedawg,...seems that we're neighbors. Where in St. Mary's County are you? I'm in Great Mills. I sometimes hunt the base, but also have a couple of places both north and south of town.

Wow...so you took that buck on base? Good for you. I talked to Jim Swift (DNR) last night and he didn't think any bucks had been taken yet. I won't be so bold as to ask what area you were hunting. Jim said that a guy took a couple of does out of area 19A, but that's about it.
I hunt the base for a "quick fix", but try to get off base and away from all of the jet noise.
