Default Field Pictures

For those of you who take pictures of themselves in the field with a harvested animal:
Do you use a tripod, or do you just prop your camera up on a log or something? I'll be doing it for the first time this season and was curious what others do.

Go get someone to take your picture. Take a lot of them so you get a good one. If you cannot find someone a log will work but the tripod is better. Hard to get good pics by yourself. Even so I still want to see them when you score this year...

A log has always worked fine for me if I didn't have someone to take the photos. The important part is to take a lot of them.

Either a person or a log will suffice.

I always put my camera on the top of my backpack. The bag is supportive enough to hold the camera but soft enough for me to make adjustments to get a good pic.

**This was a self pic. I think it turned out fairly good. Wish those few eeds weren't in front but I still like it.

Take 25 to get 1 good one too. We're still waiting on Matt's thread, he's hunting Pronghorn isn't he?

Ducsause, that's a real nice pic. Another way for those who have one, is to use your trail cam.

If you hunt alone - carry a pocket tripod or a nice soft towel to place on your pack- Smile - look happy - your happy aren't you? I'd want to look that way in my picture.
