First Wolf Picture...
Not the greatest of pictures, but a wolf nonetheless. I might have thought small coyote before, but the DNR doesn't collar coyotes.

Saw my first wolf last season in Sawyer County in Wisconsin. Recently heard the population in Wisconsin is rapidly increasing and they are being seen in places where they aren't normally found. The times that I've seen them, they've always been alone, followed by a pack of 5-6 coyotes. Must be a nasty animal, cause even a pack of coyotes know to keep their distance and pick up the crumbs when the wolf's done!

Cool pic JV. I have captured about 6 or 7 onfilm in northern marinette county and have seen one from a bow stand. Hard to tell from the pic but it looks a little on the small side. The ones I had seen were a little bigger, at least the from what I could tell from the pic. Could be a young one. Nice pic either way.

How long til they are forced to open a season on them? They have become such a menace to ranchers here in Idaho that they had to come up with new rules on when and under what circumstances you could kill them. Believe me, there's no reason to love them out here.
