YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Well, the box showed up today. The thing I immediately noticed was how well built the clothing is. Double stitched, reinforced, very soft. Nothing short of immaculate. It's incredibly comfortable to wear as well. Now, I'm a little leary of how it's going to be on a warm day, say in the 80's....but I'm gonna find out Friday. :D Anyway, it's not perfect. It needs some black in it, and IMHO, the background could be lighter. But all in all, very nice camo. That Wolfskin is amazing! Water runs off of it like it would a duck's back! It's actually pretty cool here today, in the mid 60's w/ a breeze. I wore it this evening and was very comfortable. I simply can't say enough for the quality of the clothing itself. These pictures are the same, just for the obvious color difference. The B&W is incredible.
Webster defines Enigma as something difficult to explain, or hard to understand. Well, this camo is named appropriately. It messes w/ your eyes. I found it hard to focus on when my buddy was wearing it. It's almost an optical illusion....I don't know, it's hard to explain. The pictures are good, but seeing it first hand is much better. Oh, this was taken at 10 yards! ![]() |
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
A little better than the last pictures, but it would have been better if leaves weren't covering the majority of the upper body.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Sorry for the technical difficuties....here is the color photo.

Mine should be here is about another week according to Chuck.
I can't wait! |
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
I see your little friend standing there in the trees on the edge. It is good stuff but i think the black white conceals him even better!

Any chance you can take some more tomorrow, Mo? Maybe get him just standing out in front of the foliage so we can see how well it breaks up the human outline on its own.

Edit* At first glance at the color photo, this pattern reminds me a lot of Natural Gear, with the lines more pronounced. I know when its viewed up close this isn't the case, the coloring is different, but from a difference it appears as if its a mixture of Natural Gear and Predator. |

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
It looks real nice. I want to see your pics of it after this weekend.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Ain't working too good in those green surroundings. I believe it might work better in a grey and brown setting. There is not much besides green that will blend with green. I know we will never know if deer see in color or black and white until some guru figures out how to see thru a deer's eyes. Until then though I think the more the colors match your background and the more your outline is broke up the better off you will be. Just my 2 cents. Anyway, it looks like it has it's place but just not out of wallet what I expected. Too much $$$$

Your pictures look better than the ones in their brochure. I'd like to see some in a treestand.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Those pics are awesome!!! I am sure that this will work. And the wolfskin is amazing, nice job. Now lets see it up against Realtree and Mossy Oak.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
WOW, I was looking at the black and white picture and I couldn't find you. I then saw the color one and had to go back to the black and white one to see if you were actually there too. I agree that you don't have leaves blocking you. Other than a branch your mostly in the open. I know my Mossy Oak would look like a black blob standing there and I doubt the Realtree mentioned above would do any good either. I was looking to buy new this year and was thinking ASAT but now, no way. You've sold me mobowhuntr, that is a better picture than on that web site.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
I honestly couldn't see you in the first picture, but I'd like to see it in a treestand. Withthat camo I think the deer wont know what hit em.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Can you say good bye. That stuff makes you disappear. I like it!
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Much better looking Pics this time. Makes me want to look at it a little more.

RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Not a knock on the camo but I think your bare face blends in better than the camo.LOL. It does break up the outline but I wouldn't use it on turkey.
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Talondale, explain to me why you would not use Enigma for turkeys? I've worn ASAT for years hunting turkeys, a brown/black based camo in a green enviroment and have had them within yards of me. So with Enigma being a better green enviroment friendly camo yet having the ability to break up the human outline, it's going to be as good if not better.
mobow, incredible photos. I showed my wife and she couldn't find you. Today I showed a coworker and he said wow that does work and then pointed to the tree in the upper left hand part of the picture saying "is that him" I showed him the color photo and went back to the B&W, he let out some explicitives. :D I'd sooner use Enigma then Mo or RT for turkeys that is for sure and I look forward to using it this next Spring to see how it compares to the other open patterns on weary eyed, PA Easterns. |
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
I'm heading for deer camp Thursday evening, and hunting all weekend. I'll be taking some more photos, and if I can I'll get my buddy to let me take some of his MO.....Just have to see how much time I have. I'm very excited to get Enigma to the woods and run it through the trials.
Hopefully I'll have some success photos next week, but if not, I'll surely have some effectiveness photos. I'm gonna load here the same photo, but right off of the camera. The other color photo I kind of messed up I think, so here it is again with no editing what so ever. Again, this is pretty close, at 10 yards. I'll get some from a tad farther away, out to 30. I will also get some treestand shots as well. ![]() |
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Any chance you could get photos in a pine tree, Mo? I don't know if you've got any on your property, but thats all we have on ours. I'd like to see how well the pattern blends with the pine.
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
I'll see what I can do. If I can't manage this weekend, in a couple of weeks when I go to the farm I will. We have lots of pines there. I'll give it a shot buddy.
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
mobow, it certainly looks good in your pics. I wonder if you have any RT or MO that you could wear and take pics in the same place to see how they stack up in the b/w photos.
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
On the way buddy...on the way.
|
RE: YEAH BABY! THE ENIGMA HAS ARRIVED!!
Aeroslinger, after this weekend I may have a suite to wear, I also have a ton of camo to compare. I'm going to take pics of Enigma, Predator brown and grey, Mossy Oak BU, Realtree Xbrown, ASAT, Trubark, non specific brands as well. I'm going to do a big run through with all camos being taken in the exact same way/place etc.
