i think it really depends on you..how accurate are you at 25 yards? how confident are you in making a shot and also how open is the terrian? if you are a good shot and highly confident (not to say we are not humans and can make a mistake) and the area is open for say atleast 100-200 yards of area where you can watch the bull i would shot it at the neck...there are too many large veins, back bone, jugular etc. that you can hit and it be a good kill shot....also i would only do if i had a broadhead with atleat 1 3/16 cutting diameter..anything less no way..

As much I would be tempted , I gotta say no because I was told taking a shot like that is highly riskey and theres no sure way of hitting the vitals.
I would wait for it to startquartering away if it doesn't , then I'll put my bow down and pick my camera up and shoot with that.

Have waited for the beast to turn. Never taken the shot. Can't say I never wouldthough. I'd sit tight and wait for a better one. I don't pull until I get one so I'm just watching and under no stress.

Oh so tempting and the sort of thing you wont get out of your mind in a hurry but i would have to say no, better to wait for a broadside shot than wound an animal so impressive.

Anyone who says this is a bad shot isn't knowledgeable. Browse the bowsite on frontal shots, its been beat to death.

I use to argue against frontal shots, but I was simply regurgetating what people had told me. Bury an arrow 25" into the chest and thats a very quikc, humane kill.

Like any shot, you gotta be able to make it. Many, MANY broadside shots are jacked, so that potential for error is on the shoulders of the archer's ability and nothing more.

I can make that shot with a compound, and with the power of the compound, dead elk.

I couldn't make it with my recurve, thus I wouldn't take it
