Hang on or Ladder stand??
 

Which one is best for a wooded area...I will be bowhunting it only....I just can't decide and would love some expert help :)

Hang-on for portability and flexibility. You can hunt more spots with a hang-on.

The hang - on is the best way to go for bowhunting.
I like the ones that have a chain instead of the strap , the chain is alot more secure and doesn't streach like the strap kind.

I use both so I won't answer the poll. It depends on the location of the stand for me. Some trees in my area will not support a hang on but can handle a leaning ladder.

Ladderstand. Although a hang on is a little easier to move from place to place I am starting to find it harder and harder every year to lug or pull a hang on up a tree as I get older. I like the ease of putting up a ladder stand versus a hang on not to mention its alot safer to put up a ladderstand when your by yourself than it is a hang on. Not to mention most ladder stands are bit more comfortable and have a bigger platform. I like my riversedge 15ft stealth stand. I can usually get it together put up in around 10 minutes. Which is 1/3 of the time it takes me to put up a hangon.

I didnt vote because I use both depending on the situation. Ladders sure are nice once they are hauled in and set up, but some of them are heavy and extremely cumbersome especially when you cant bring them in via 4 wheeler, vehicle etc and you have a mile or more hike.
