RE: Hang on or Ladder stand??

I use hang-ons, ladder stands, climbers, hand built stands, shooting house, and blinds (natural and pop up). I use anything I can to give myself an advantage. I have a lot of hunting land and there is alot of different terrain so it all depends on where I'm hunting at the time.

In a tree.

Seriously though, I like to use my ladders in thicker areas. You usualy don't need to be as high in areas with a lot of cover, nor are there good climbing trees in those areas for the most part. And my hang on's go in more open timber, where I need to be higher than 15 feet.

If you own or lease the property, I would go with ladder stands. I feel more secure on them.
