out for season?

That timing sucks, but if you want it bad enough you'll find a way to hunt. I once went bear hunting here in Pa with a caston but it was only my ankle. It had a piece of rubber on the bottom.

Sorry to hear that buddy , I hope and pray that you recover back to your normal self soon.
Maybe you should consider a wheel chair and a ground blind or you might be able to get around a little better by gun season.
Good luck , get well and god bless.

Hey man that really stinks. Don't give up hope a friend of mine broke his leg two years ago during the season.(the band on his treestand broke and he was stuck hanging upside down by his feet, stuck in the straps for about two hours. While hanging there he heard and felt his bone brake.) Within a couple of weeks we were able to get him back in the woods. He used his crutches and I helped him get his stuff in the woods. He hunted from a ground blind, and had some close encounters with some deer. Didn't get a shot but was able to get back in the woods.
Just keep up your hope and maybe things will work out.
Good luck
