Default nuther safey tip

I know alot of you allready know this one but im spitting it out anyway.
when loading an arrow on the bow we sometimes forget about there being a broadhead on, and can easily slice the string on the bow witch can easily explode the bow. After shooting thousands of arrows with field points before the season and then switching to broadheads we may havepicked up some bad habits. can you imagine being 20 ft. in the air and have this happen. I cant help notice alot of young archers on this board and thought this would be a good tip. my oldest son is 14 and bowhunts with me. he is one of the safest people with a gun or bow that i have ever been around but he has heard it over and over about safety being #1 ,please hunt safe and have a great season.

How are you loading your arrow that the broadhead is near the string? I always attach my arrow nock first, but I use a drop away...

Good tip for those of you shooting a WB style rest though.

I dont load mine with the braodhead anywhere close to the string. I have seen alot of people especialy at archery shoots that grab an arrow and as they arebringing it to the bow just kind of whip it past the string when they bringing it to the bow. i sold a bow to a guy i work with about 7 years ago for his son. his dad or him had never been around bows. guess what happened when he was using a broadhead.

I use the WB but mine has the slot in it to load the arrow.
Broadhead is still nowhere near the string.
Nock the arrow, drop it in the rest.
Original WB I could see the possible problem.
Still a good tip

Good tip.

I am even leery on putting broadheads in the same case as my bow. I unscrew them and put them in a smallfishing casebefore I put my bow and arrows inside the bow case.

OK
lets try this again. im not talking about knocking the broadhead near the string. im refering to careless mishandling of arrows with broadheads, coming in contact with the string. sheeeeshhh!!
