I can tell you which one not to get!! The one from Walmart. Man that thing is uncomfortable and the foot platform is to small. I have hunted on a strongbuilt and liked it a lot better.

I have several I got from Cabelas for around $80-16 footers. Also 1 Double from WaklMArt for $125. Like em all. Use a deer hauler to get in & out of the woods-foot access.

I have this one:
15' Stealth Ladder Stand

I got it from Sportsman's Guide for $113 delivered to my door . It's pretty sturdy , fairly lightweight at 47 lbs. , and very comfy . They also have leg levelers available for $20 , and you can buy compatible 4' leg extentions for about $30 at Wally World .

Dicks Sporting Goods (www.DicksSportinggoods.com) sells a 15 foot ladder stand from Hunter's view that is $60.00. It's perfect and pretty light. I was able to pick it up this time last year for on $50.00. comes with a padded seat, but I never use it. I actually stood on the seat just to give me a little extra height I needed as I had it on a field edge.

I saw the Big Game 20' ladder yesterday at Gander Mountain and it look pretty darn nice. I have used the Big Game Buddy Stand, which is awesome, and the 20' has the same ladder, with double rails so it is very sturdy. The sections are small enough also that you can adjust the height, so it can either be 16' or 20', or 12' based on how many ladder sections you use. I think the price was about $160. Based on quality of construction, I would go with this one. Alot of the real cheap ones just kinda leave me skeptical because the parts aren't real beefy, but the Big Game ones are.
