RE: How many arrows do you carry into the field?
Usually 4-6. I always take 3 of the same broadhead. Sometimes I take 3 fixed blade along with a couple of mechanicals, all of which i know will hit in the same place. Also usually carry a couple of practice or junk arrows/heads to shoot at those pesky raccoons that love to eat my corn. The reason I carry mechanicals with me is for situations like a couple of weeks ago. It was drizzling rain pretty heavily so I wanted the biggest blood trail I cuold have. It worked, after shooting a doe with a NAP Spitfire, a blind man could have followed that trail even in the rain.

Years ago I always carried 6, and once I used all 6 to get a six pointer, the last one finished him off.(long story)
Now, I carry 4 and only ever use just one. Good Luck! PRACTICE....PRACTICE....PRACTICE......SUCCESS! |

drop out of the tree when hauling up my bow or nocking an arrow right at dawn, ONe to shoot at a deer, and one to shoot at the same deer ifhe is kind enough to stand there after I miss him with my first arrow./ |
