Well, My son Billy and his friend Cody Came to elk camp this year with dreams of makeing there first bow hunting kill.

I have had a dream of being with my son on his first kill and we hunted hard. After a few days we got the deer wired and went on a killing spree
Here's Billy and I getting ready for the shot.
We kind of got caught out in the open but spotted them moving toward us. I ducked in behind Billy and coach the shot. The results of all our hard work and nights of practice paid off.

I also had the privilage of guiding My buddy Mikes boy to his first buck.

With two on the pole are Camp sure looked better

The next morning we loaded up the truck and said happy trails to Eastern Oregon. but we still have two more firsts to complete this season. Stay tooned for Billy and Cody's first elk. Then maybe I'll get to hunt again. LOL

PS. I Cried and hugged my son so hard after his first deer. It was truly something I will never forget. That Makes that little buck the biggest trophey in the whole world.
Cheers Rich

That's awesome. It couldn't be any better than that. I can only hope I can enjoy the same experience with my two boys. One of them will soon be out there with the bow as soon as he can prove to me he's ready.
