RE: stolen goods
How about posting up a list of things he needs
Sizes of clothing? Details on the bow so we can see if arrows we have will work? I've got some extra Beaman Carbon Hunters,400s I could spare for him to use I also have a 70-80lb Golden Eagle bow RH that is all set up with everything including quiver, sight, overdraw and about 20 arrows for it I could loan him for the season. Let's get him back in the woods! |
RE: stolen goods
ORIGINAL: ron3775 Manuman, I was going to say I am left hand dominate and am using a right handed bow. I was going to ask if the bow was still avalible and you where going to give to him, if he is right handed, Iwould gladly trade him my bear for the left handed one that you have. |
RE: stolen goods
Sorry about your Dad.

RE: stolen goods
I'm really sorry to bring this up but all you guys have just a couple of posts How do we know this is not some scam to get a whole bunch of our hunting stuff. Again I'm sorry to bring this up but I have been burt many times thinking with my heart and not my head. and if you are really on the up and up I'm sorry

RE: stolen goods
Not a problem Mike. I can understand where you're coming from. We're not making anyone give their stuff. This is just basically tryin to help this guy out so he doesn't miss season. If you are worried about it being a scam, please don't donate or offer 2. I know I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes and wouldn't want it done to me. We have 2 different names, 2 different addresses, in 2 different cities, so please, if this is one of your concerns just don't offer a donation. We're not making anyone "give" their items. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to borrow as he is with my bow. To reply from a previous post from Buellhunter
The bow that I'm letting him use is an old Jennings Gayelforce bow, some round wheels and I believe the draw is currently set around 28"...he may need to adjust it, I'm not sure.I'm thinkin it was maufactured in the early 90's.He has camo as said in his original post about the things being stolen. The only thing that was stolen was his equipment, bow set up,stand arrows, and release. I'm pretty sure he has everything else. |
RE: stolen goods
Snake123, I have not posted before. Iam thinking the same thing Mike Hill is?
Sorry if this is not a scam? I find it odd that you both are new to the site. I just don't trust too many people. I think this is a scam. |
RE: stolen goods
Once again, I can respect your concerns, but at the same time if you do think this is a scam please try and keep that to yourselves and just bypass the post without some sort of comment. Or comment between yourselves. Just for you skeptical guys out there, have you ever had anything stolen? Ever had your house broken into? Were you ever not able to hunt because someone not only stole your equipment but your pride to ask for help? How did it make you feel? Please don't bring anyone down with your negativity. You don't think it's hard to lower your pride and ask for help? One thing thats most important here is the people that DO have a heart and are doing more than showing their support. The only thing I'm doing, which by the way was without sconer knowing or supporting it, is trying to get this guy set up to arrow a buck or doe in archery since his liscense are already bought. If you actually read his post about things being stolen you would have seen not only was his archery equipment stolen but his guns as well, including one passed down from generation to generation. Do you see anyone one here asking for a gun donation?? What about a bow donation?? The only thing you see here is good honest people offering to donate little items, with the exception of few, to help get this guy in the tree. If you read the post and replies at all before you jumped on here and started p*ssin people off you would see an offer, a very generous one at that by manuman offering a bow. Do you really think that if the 2 of us, since we're both "new", were trying to scam we woulda passed on that bow? Why did we? Because it's USELESS to a RIGHT-HANDED shooter!! So with all do respect, if you think this is some sort of scam, keep you idiotic smart a$$ comments to yourself and don't offer anything! Start reading all the comments from people, items being turned down that are no use, especially a bow that coulda been received and placed on e-bay if we were trying to scam people. Thanks toall the people showing POSSITIVE support. Sorry for the frustration because I really do understand the concern. But for GOD's sake read the whole damn thing and his original post before you place judgement.
