Thunder Head 100's with Blazers
Anyone have any experience or have any suggestions on the two together...are the blazers big enough to steer the fixed broad head or should i refletch with bigger fletchings?

RE: Thunder Head 100's with Blazers
I fletched 6 radial X weave 300 pros this week. I shot them out to 70 yards yesterday and came away with mixed thoughts. I like how much quieter they are than my quick spins. They are also allot tougher. I did not see any increase in accuracy. They are also allot faster and hold more speed down range (less drag). My thunderhead 100s flew well but hit no where near my field points. I did have a nocking point issue on the bow I was shooting. It wastoo highbut I adjusted it and the broadheads still hit about 6 inches low from the field pointsat 40 yards. Iplan onmessing with the tuning a we bit more andtrying them again. But right now I would notchange from the4 inch quick spins. I might change my mind next time out though.

I to fletched them up on my arrows and shot broadheads over the weekend! I also had mixed results with them! I shot 3 Blade Sattalites, 3 blade Muzzy's, and 3 blade Eastman Terminators (All 125 Grain). The Sattalites and the cheap Eastmans fly perfect! Now the Muzzy's fly off to the right no matter how Ituned the broadhead on the arrow! It is weird there is no noticeable planeing or anything! They just fly off to the right! I'm going to try some more this weekend! And I put them on with a helical!

I don't care for them. Going to use the 4" Savage duravane, 29" Beman ics hunter elites 340, 100 grn. Thunderheadsthis year. The savage is around 9 grns a piece. That's less than 10 grns. over the blazers which weight 19 total (3) on my scale. They are also a lower profile, (less contact issues). Then again if you shoot with a biscuit your stuck with them. The savage is supposed to work with the biscuit, although I can't say they do.

I have excellent results with 100gr Thunderheads and 4" feathers and have been shooting this combination for 16yrs. I did however buy some blazers this year to play around with and they shot great with field points but when i tried them withmy thunderheads they just didn't flywell at all for me. They may have done better on a smaller size broadhead i don't know. I'll stick with the 4" feathers .

well i decided to switch back to my wasp jackhammers....the thunderheads tail whip and corkscrew all over...i have the aligned with the fletchings. The blazers shoot awsome with my field points...also the jackhammers are as close to field point accuracy as anything....to the exact spot.
