RE: When it gets dark....

A sight light can be too bright, especially with fiber optic pins. Do what Len did to mine and his. He just blackened the bulb with a black magic marker. It toned the light and the pins down. and like everyone says, use a big peep hole.

Are you saying you can't see the pins or you couldn't see the target through the pins...While hunting, I've still been able to see my pins when it was too dark to shoot the animal....those were nothing special sights...well, Hoyts MicroElite's but they had Truglo pins in them....

My new Viper Predator Pro MT is very, very bright, I'm almost complaining too bright in good light, the pins almost halo. I put a hood on and they are perfect...I almost want .010 pins, they are all .019's now. .029 are just too large for small targets.
Sorry if I was unclear. I can not see the target while at full draw with the light on or off. I took all my other pins off the sight leaving one and still had the same results. I was hoping that would allow eliminate the glow and allow me to see.

Maybe it was getting too dark.[&:]

I had a light gatheringpeep many years ago. It was a green plastic or something cube with black paint on the eye side. Hands down it was awesome if you where going to use a peep. I lent the bow to my nephew. He said he took it to the shop to have it tuned and a new string. It was a perfect bow.I got it back with the same string minus my peep. Never have saw the samething advertised.

If you truely want something to work just as fast in low light as in regular light, you will go with a scope.

If you couldn't see the target then your pins aren't the problem...it's just too dark to shoot.:D Do you shoot with my eye or both eyes open?

I shoot with my eye open.;)J/k..one eye. I have tried both but I am uncomfortable with doing so.

Fieldmouse:
I know what you are talking about. I am gonna do some experimenting and see what happens.

Same here, I shoot with only one eye open and found that it keeps me from seeing as long as if I have both eyes opened.
