Update on WHA Hunting Contest
By Michael Hanback
The WHA just announced it has dropped its absurd plan to dart-drug deer, and will now switch to a “traditional harvest format” just in time for its first tournament competitions this October. In other words the WHA’s 8 competitors will do what real hunters do—shoot to kill deer.

The organization says it has also altered the competition’s big prize money structure, though they have yet to provide details on that.
The first tournaments are still planned for Lost Arrow Ranch in Gladwin, MI. The WHA says the use of the 1,000-acre preserve allows for a "controlled competition" and ensures that the tournaments will not adversely impact wild game populations or infringe upon hunting opportunities on public and private land for regularly licensed hunters.

this is still a bad thing for our sport. It is making a joke out of our sport

What I'm afraid of it doing is making us all look like money grubbing killers.
There is a lot more to our sport that is spiritual that can't be shown through a televised contest. Especially with big breasted cheerleaders on the sidelines cheering the hunters on.
Bass Masters is a totally different thing, because fishing is a completely different sport. The WHA is going to make us all look bad.
