Hello, new to the forum here. Anyway, I conducted my own accuracy and torture tests and bottow line, Slick Tricks were the clear winner in both categories. Other contestants included Rocky Mountain Ti's, Muzzy's, G5 Strikers and Montecs, Rage, Aftershock, and Thunderheads.Accuracy was tested at 20, 30 and 40...same arrow, random order, each shot graphed, etc. I tested penetration in foam and then shot through 1/2 and 3/4 inch ply and Dura-rock at 18 yards. Slick Tricks not only penetrated best, but the exit holes were much larger and they actually shattered the media on the backside. One good thingIcan say about all the broadheads...I didn't destroy any of them. I had a couple ofbent blades, but no broken ones.Another note to remember about the Slick Tricks, theyare cutting 4 slices instead of 2 or 3. I am looking forward to trying them this season in Illinois. Best regards....

"However the newer sharper 1"-100g trickswere schedule to start shipping last Monday, Aug 21st. "

I also wasn't aware that they had changed. I just ordered some to the Magnums....does that mean I will get old style? Can you provide some more details? Thanks.

It's my understanding that the only difference in the 05 and 06 tricks are the blades on the 06 are being machined in Germany and are suppose to be sharper. I've also been told that the 06 blades willfit the 05 ferrells. This will be my first year trying the tricks so i can't comment on the sharpness of the 05 blades. Ican say however that if there was a sharpness issue it was addressed becausethese 06 blades that i recieved last week are very very sharp. First thing i did was take one out of the package and run it across my arm and the hair fell off with very little effortlikei was using my shaving razor. I still haven't had the chance to shoot them yetto see how they fly but i plan to this weekend.

Red Boar--Gary Cooper (owner) of Slick Trickemail address is
[email protected]or you can call him directly at 870 892-3135.

The newer heads are in a oblong package, while the older heads comes in a smaller square package.
The only difference in the 1"-100 G heads is the blades are supposed to be sharper.
And this year they've come out with the 1-1/8"-100G Magnums--more cutting surface area.

Thanks, Ampahunter. I just talked to Gary directly. He said all the new heads will have the consistenly sharper blades. Magnums are shipping now and standard 100 and 85's he hopes to get soon. Rest assured he is doing everything possible to get them out...just waiting on suppliers. At any rate, the fact that he is swamped is testament to how wonderful these heads are. Shoot them yourself to see how accurately they fly and how devestating the exit wounds are (and no, I don't work for Slick Trick). Best to my hunting buds.

Season #2 for me. Took 3 deer with the same Slick Trick last year. They are the best broadheads I have ever shot!

Just a note on the sharpness issues....I have used an Accusharp http://www.accusharp.com/tungsten carbide sharpener and finished off with a strop on all of my Slick Tricks. I don't know how they could get any sharper. I'm anxious to get some of the new ones and check 'em out.
