They are building a Cabelas about 10 miles from my house. It will be at the Mills Mall in St. Louis County. Suppose to open in spring of '07. We have bps but I like cabelas stuff better. They are more into hunting IMO.

We have both in my area and I think the cabela's is much better. Get ready for extreme traffic in your area.

I know you won't do it, but I suggest waiting about two months after it opens before you go. Ours was insane when it first opened.

JM- Congratulations! Every man needs a Cabelas within driving distance.

I don't buy much stuff from there, but they're fun to go in to.

I have to drive 5 1/2 hrs to get to the nearest one here, so visits are few and far between!

I like Cabela's but I work for Denny Dennis Sporting Goods and I really just hope it doesn't hurt our business.. Bass Pro didn't hurt much but this will be closer..

We too are getting a Cabelas here in NW Georgia. Can't wait and I hope to remember to send my wife a post card every now and then...

There is a new Cabelas opening up sometime in October of this year about 30 miles north of Milwaukee, WI. Should be fun!
