I have a pet deer (doe) that stays out back and I've trained her to pee in a bucket---upon demand to boot.

I have tried most scents and could not find any that I could get consistent positive results with. I had just about given up on scents when I found the Southern Whitetail Scent products. My boys and I have harvested some really nice bucks in the last two years using their product Hyper Heat ( freshly collected doe estrous). check um out at:

Trails End 309 from Wildlife Research Center is a good all season curiosity/sex scent. I have watched many deer stop to investigate it in a dripper long enough for a shot. I have also peed on a mock scrape with success, though, as well. I should start bottling that and call it something like Uncle Chucker's Backwoods Buck Lure.

I don't use anything from a bottle, but will use a fresh tarsal gland I get from a taxidermist friend of mine. Although I can't say it has braught one in on a string either, but it is natural.

We use unscented tampons or Hyper Wicks that are hung from a low hanging branch. After the hunt we just drop the urine soaked tampon or Hyper Wick on the ground and make a mock scrape with our rubber boots. We have found that if there is a buck in the area you will know within 48 hours, he will tear the place up!
