That is a real nice 10 pointer, the others aren't too shabby either

I just hope they did't bust you in the stand,if they did they will be cautious or not come near that stand. Sorry but I was always told to hang my stand get out and don't come back unless you're hunting.

Man, I sure hope this deer sticks around.
I was thinking sort of the same thing, Dr. Andy...

I'd be afraid the only thing you're going to do by going over there is educate them to human presence and pressure them into either moving or becoming more nocturnal... If you feel like you've got 'em pegged now, I wouldn't be back to opening morning...

By the way, good luck on that 10-pointer; he's a fantastic deer.

If the season starts in October..and you are watching them in August...You have not "ruined" the area...I call it pre season scouting...you are doing less harm sitting in a stand in a good areathan walking all over the woods looking for sign...Now that he has seen what he needs to see I would bet he would leave them alone...Besides, once the rut starts, that buck will be following a doe...She's the one that will bust you.

You guys are right, and I know, but my buddy brought his 11yr old boy up to the farm and he was bugging me to check out a tree stand, so I told him that if he could get up at 5:30am I'd take him out. He was up and eager so I took him, I honestly couldn't believe it when 3 bucks walked out, but I'm really glad the kid got to see them, he wants to take his safety course now .
We did get busted, but I'm sure they didn't see us, we got winded.
