Default Hoyt...Please forgive me

Well boys...
I got a new job, teaching 7th grade social studies at a great district in Central New York, only about 35 minutes from my house. The pay is great, the district is excellent, and the people are amazing...a possible career location. Also, the area near the school produces some monster bucks every year.

To celebrate, I went to The Flying Arrow in E. Greenbush (NY)to get my bow tuned, and while I was there the Hoyt Trykon caught my eye...then the Bowtech Tribute caught my other eye. I was crosseyed! Anyway, I decided, "What the heck, why not spoil myself a little." I could hear all your voices, screamingyour opinions about Bowtech and Hoyt. Originally, after firing off a few test shots, I was gonna go with the Trykon, but after we had some compatability issues with my rest, I decided to go with the Tribute. I am in love. With a Goldtip XT Hunter 5575 I am shooting 293 fps through the chrony @ 70#'s. I CANT believe that it is so smooth, yet SO quiet. I am so glad I got a Bowtech, though all my friends back at home are going to kill me. Its all good, my arrows are flying faster than their Trykons. My groups have already shrank, even though my wallet shrank a little too, it was well worth it!

Pics to be posted soon

Way to go! Excellent choice! I shot the Trykon as well but decided on the Old Glory. Congrats on the job!

Congratulations. I think you won't be dissapointed. I had the Trykon earlier this year and was not too happy with it. I took it back to the shop and traded it for the TRIBUTE. My groups became closer and I became more confident in my equipment. Thats always a good feeling.

Allseasonhunter7, I didnt get anything in my PM inbox.
I have the smooth modules on it I believe, but I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure it is the smooth.
The school district is Sidney, New York. It has some nice hunting grounds around it.
Also, if anyone has any land in that area they are willing to share please let me know... I am on the lookout for prime hunting spots.

with that arrow speed I would guess that they are the smooth modules. I was gettin 299 fps out of mine at 65 lbs.
