Was this such a hard choice for anyone else?

I went to shoot a hoyt trykon and a mathews XT today, they are both so very smooth and just perfect in every way. I went to lay one away, but left still wondering which one I want. I just cant decide, if anything, the mathews seemed lighter, but I hear the trykon has a slight speed edge. I find it very difficult to make up my mind now. Anyone want to try to sway my decision one way or the other? :D

I shot both and liked the xt better but you decide which feels better for you not what everyone tells you

I will really sway your decision by telling you to try the Bowtech line. do that and then try to decide on those 3 bows. It won't be easy.

The Trykon has more than just a little speed edge....I know how hard that choice is...when I shot them, I shot 4, the Tribute, Allegiance, Trykon and the Switchback...after shooting all 4 for hours, I put them in ratings in this order, Trykon, Allegiance, Tribute and then Switchback. Even though I loved how the Switchback shot, it just couldn't out perform the Allegiance and Trykon with all else, draw, shock, noise, vibration etc being all but equal. So with all else being close to the same, speed was added...with speed comes Kinetic Energy....The Switchback falls short of the other 3 in this respect so I narrowed it down to the Trykon and Allegiance....I put money down on the Trykon only to go back 2 days later to buy the Allegiance. I own both today.

My good friend was dead set on the Switchback, he came up and shot all 4 as well and he forgot all about the Switchback and ordered the Trykon. The Switchback as great a bow as it is...falls short with all else being equal. It comes down to personal preference after that.

I had a tough time decideing myself. I allways liked the matthews bows, they look more clean than the others. do shoot a bowtech before decideing, and remember they have really good stabilizers out there. Bowtech's bows shoot really fast, way faster than matthews xt. I believe there fastest bow shoots 335 fps IBO. not quite matthews black max speed but still fast for a hunting bow.

Any ways I just thought a hunting bow needed to be quiet 1st, smooth and accurate 2nd and speed came in 4th. thats just me though. so though matthews was a little slow compared to the others it was ok becuase it was quiet.
just my 2 cents

With the price of todays bows, I can't believe they were closing up shop on you while you were compairing!!! If I had owned the shop, you'd be on here bragging about your new bow tonight...:)
