Cheap Scentlok Storage
#1

Well I took the plunge and purchased my new Scentlok Full season gear yesterday. I already had the Scentlok Carbon bag and kept my last years Scentlok clothes in it sealed inside a SPACEBAG. The space bag over time would allow air to seep back in and they cost about 16 bucks.
I found these bags below and they appear to be just perfect. I purchased a box of 3 XXL's for 5 bucks. I just sealed it up except a small portion and then squeezed the air out and then completed seal. After 24 hours no air seepage. They are very thick and even have a handle. In the past I have also tried the HS bags with the ziplok style zipper and every year the zipper breaks.
I will let you know how they hold up. They can be found in most stores in the Trash Bag/ Kithen Isle.

Be forewarned, they don't work all that well. I tried them last year and was slightly disappointed. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I don't know what. Oh well, it's a moot point to me anyway. I sold all my ScentLok, vowing never to use it again.

Wow....let the truth be told. I've never used it but was planning on trying some this year. What is everybody elses thoughts? Actually, don't answer my question.I think I will make a newthread and not hijack Buck442's.

MOBOW. You said that you were not happy with the results....was that for the bags or the clothes. I am beyond pleased with my Scentlok clothes.
In the two years I have been using Scentlok I have harvested 3 Bucks and 5 does all within 20 yards or less with changing winds. Oh yea and one of those Bucks was 171 7/8 and he was Downwind [8D]
As far as taking care of the clothes I find that it is actually easier. Before scentlok we would was our clothes EVERY day and they faded quick. Now We dress and undress at the Truck and put all are clothes in the carbon bag inside a airtight bag and they are good for 3-5 hunts before washing/ regeneration. I used the Savana gear and was very pleased with the comfort lever. The full season gear might be a little warmer but feels like flannel pj's to me.

I'm going to give those bags a try myself - just bought a set of early season Savanna scentlok off ebay for $90 and got a set of late-season scent blocker fleece for $115. That's no more than you'd pay for regular camo at Cabela's or Bass Pro, so I figured what the heck. I'll probably take that bag and toss it in one of those rubbermaid tubs for a little extra protection.
Just curious - what are you all using to wash the clothes with? Trying to decide if I should go get one of the carbon detergents or just use one of the scent-free detergents i've already got.
