Not sure of the truth of this, but a co-worker of mine heard it today on the radio. It was reported that Troy Gentry of the Country music group Montgomery Gentry purchased a tamed retiredcircus Bear for $4,600 and staged a "hunt" where he shot and killed it. The reports I heard was he actually staged it to look like the bear was charging him as he shot it with his bow.

Here is the atricle that I found abou it.

I really hope this is not the case however it looks like it is. If this comes to be true I guess I'll be pulling my CD out of my exchanger in my Titan and chucking it out the window, well I don't want to litter so I guess I just put it in the garbage.

Definitely not a good thing. Its almost sad too that he possibly faces prison for 5 years and some muderers don't even get that.

He deserves whats coming to him though.

Rob, mail it back to his recording label with a letter of explanation.... My wife is a big fan of theirs, and has several of their CD's... That's what I'm doing....

What an idiot. I always thought those guys were pretty big posers anyway... Nothin's "country" like taking out a tame circus bear. It takes all kinds I guess...
