Check out an article in whitetail deer hunting-scent control. This should answer all your questions about chemical suits and carbon suits. There is also some brand new technologies that are now available for scent control/elimination.
Do you have a link?

RE: Military Charcoal Suits???

The ones we had issued from CIF when we checked in are specifically for training and not for the real deal. The real ones are layered differently with different type of fillements. Not sure what they are but it's not charcoal.

Yeah, the ones issued at CIF are "training suits and are not the ones you take to war but, it is still a real suit. When it was new it was just as good as the "real" ones. The new version is better, obviously. It don't turn you black like the old ones will and like I said, I know for a fact they work.

I know they work I had one years ago, and I killed deer with it on some in the direction of the wind. Be carefull during the first couple washes cause they will turn the wash machine tub black.
P.S. can you friend get anymore in large, would be willing to buy.
Good Hunting.
