Just wondering what other Trykon shooters, or any other new bow is shooting for speed with a hunting set-up? The pro shop guy said that I was right in the money for speed to where the other Trykons he sold have been running.

Not an XL. Just a regular Trykon.

I absolutey love the Trykon. It did pick up some vibration/noise when I cranked up the poundage. I might add some sort of aftermarket string dampeners to the bow or something. It is still really quiet though.

Try an STS. You'll be amazed at the difference. If you took that rubber tube off your peep sight you'd probably gain around 4 to 7 fps.

What does the rubber tube on your peep actually do?

I haven't had that tube peep on there for a while now. That was when I first got that bow. The string kept rotating too much to line up a tru-peep, so I had to go that route. Then last week I threw a tru-peep on and it wouldn't rotate right, so now I have a Shurz peep on it. Hopefully 3rd time is a charm! LOL

The rubber on the peep lines the peep up with your eye.
