What nucker said, **$_#*&%_#!!!!!

So I'm excited to check my game camera. I finally put it out last Sunday. I went down today to weed whack the food plot and change film and batteries and develope the film. I had 18 pics on a 24 roll so I figure, awesome. I hit the rewind button, nothing....I hit the rewind button, nothing....I hit the rewind button, noise...okay I think but that was short...I'm thinking the film didn't advance so I open the camera, (insert explicitive here). The film did advance but never rewound!.....I threw the film, said a couple calm words,;)[:@] , changed the batteries, reloaded a new roll of film and left....

I wonder what was on that roll that I'll never see again...?

I'm investing in a digital...what are you all using?

I went out yesterday after work to check my camrea and prune out my stand. I brought my holster with pruners and folding saw along with my pole saw/loppers. This stand requires the longest hike. Weeds and brush that are neck high. I'm 6'2". I get there and found that I left the key for the camera in the truck. Great! So I brush out my stand for 1 1/2 hours then decide to walk back, get my keys then go back to swap cards. On the way back, the farmers cattle are out in the pasture right where I have to walk. I'm ok with the cows, calves and steers, but I'm not sure about the huge black bull. I walk past him like he wasn't even there and he just followed me with his head. as I get to where I go down hill from pasture to river bottom, I spot a nice buck. alright! At least I know he's there. I get the card, it says there's 12 images. Great. Go back, no cows (good), get home and find 12 pics of some big sweaty guy pruning my stand like crazy![:-]Oh well, it was still fun!:D

My guess would be 2 - 12's a 10 with a drop tine in the background if you looked real close. You're right you'll never see them again.[8D]

Just got back with my CHEAP Wildview and got some nice pics. It doesn't put date or time on the photo but it lets you know what is there. I put some apples out to get them to come in.

Rob, from what I have seen/read from you in the past you are looking for quality, if that is the case the game camera field gets narrowed down a good bit. In my eyes, my Cuddeback C3000 is the best game camera. It has so many great features and the super fast trigger speed along with the insane battery life just put the cherry on top for me. I have over 700 pics on a set of batteries (4- D Cell Duracells), and my battery level is still at 4 (4 is the highest battery level).

The Moultries have stepped up there game cameras but from my past experiences with them I just can't see making them my "top" camera. The new ones take much better pics than the past ones but several people I know who have them still complain about the battery life and a slower trigger speed.

The CamTrakker digital is another good one to look at but the price isn't cheap.

There are alot of smaller new companies that are pretty much making homebrew cameras that take some of the best quality photos out there.

For me though I want a good mix of everything. My Cuddeback takes great pics day or night but I have seen better, but those cameras can't take 2,000 pics on a set of batteries.

I got a Cuddeback 3.0 mp for X-mas. I had it out from then until march. I also put it back out last Sunday. It's my first camera, but it's great. I would like to get another one.

I like the Cuddebacks. I have three of them. I also have 2 of the Moultrie 1.3s. The picture quality of the Moultries are just as good as the Cuddebacks, which surprised me. But the short battery life of the Moultries can be quite aggravating, if you use them much. As far as the trigger speed, it depends on what you generally set the camera up on.If you'reusing them on salt licks, feeders, or bait piles, the slow trigger speed is rarely an issue. Scrape lines are another possible set where trigger speed doesn't really matter. If your setting them up on trails, or anywhere that the deer isn't going to be standing around for very long, I wouldn't get anything but a Cuddeback.

Rob, If you want quality, try and find a Cuddeback C3000 model. Or if you don't have to have really high resolution, there is a site that sells the refurbished 1.3MP version for around $225 I believe. I'll try to post a link.

I personally have (2) Moultrie 100s, (1) Moultrie 200, (1) Cuddeback C3000, (1) Leaf River IR, and (1) new Cuddeback no flash. In the order that I like the cameras, I would have to say it's

(1) Cuddeback C3000
(2) Moultrie 200
(3) Moultrie 100
(4) Leaf River IR
(5) Cuddeback No Flash

It really depends on how much you want/can afford to spend. I'm reading a lot of good reviews on the Stealth WD2 model and it's priced about the same as the Moultrie 200.

Man that third pic from windtalker, I was like the heck is the wrong with that buck's rack. Took me a minute to notice that it was a tree stump. Great pics.
