Default Family Scouting

Generally Tyler and I take our scouting pretty serious for bowhunting. We don't take others with us for many reasons which are not hard to figure out. Tonight was different though. My youngest daughter who turned 7 last month asked if she could go along to see what it was like. Actually she had been asking for a week or so but the wind was never right for a very good spot we knew ofto see deer... a lot of them to keep her entertained.

When I got home from work today, the wife decided she would also like to go. Now we have done many, many family drives to look at deer and all the great things nature has to offer, but this would be a first actual scouting tripwith the wife. That made my day!!

You couldn't have asked for a nicer evening for this outing. We got to the spot by 7:30 and had a blast till 9:30 before packing it in. The highlite of the evening was to have aForky walk by us under 10 yards away. I wished I would have had my camera ready but he came up on us fast. Would have been a great picture but the memory will have to do for us!!!

While Tyler and I will stick with our serious scouting... we will make time for family scouting. Course I think Britney is hooked, will be a hunter and will join us in our serious scouting soon... I hope the wife will continue to be a part of scouting as she doesn't share our passion for hunting but does share our passion of seeing wildife.

Here are a few pictures of the scouting crew and even acouple pictures of two of the many deer we saw tonight...

Tim,

That's awesome having the whole family come along, that's what it's all about quality family time. Actually my children love to go for rides and see deer. Just lastevening we saw four fawns playing in a field, cool picture if I would have remembered the camera [8D]. Anyways great job, and keep the pictures coming.

Take care and good luck hunting this year my friend.

Thats great! For us it is turning into a family event. My son is almost 13 and well into the same addiction we all share. My daughter is almost 9 and also enjoys going with us. Great pics also!
