I know man, I'm here for good fun also but the mathews thing is just crazy. We do sell more Mathews than anything but some buy it cuz they honestly feel it's a better bow..

And no, it may not be the fastest bow out there but speed is not always a good thing.. It can make certain bows less accurate andcause lots of noise. Mathews is the quitest bow I've yet had the pleasure to shoot. And yes, I've shot most all the new bows. I'm at 64lbs with a 28in. draw and I'm only pumping out about 250 fps but I'm shooting a somewhat heavy arrow and with my pounds turned down it's not the fastest but I do have really good KE and I'm very accurate. It's set up for hunting only and not 3-D..

There is a place for every bow and every arrow. Fast, quiet, accurate etc etc... They all have ups and downs..

I shoot the first Legacy that came out! and by the way trytan boy it still shoots gold tip 5575 pro hunters at 280fps so pack that in your pipe and smoke it!
Wow. My mistake, then. I thought my 430 gr. arrow flying 295 was a bit better, but perhaps not. 280 fps, huh? Hold back the smoke on that pipe my young padowan. [&:]

Nevermind. I was gonna git in on this, but it just ain't worth it. Anyone who shoot's a Mathews can't be reasoned w/ anyway. Too much peer pressure behind it.
I wasn't going to comment on this topic, b/c its pretty much a useless thread thats just getting everyone ticked off at each other.

I do shoot a Switchback and I love it. I can't say anything bad about my bow, I shoot great groups all the way out to 40 yards (which I won't be shooting in the deer woods anyways). When I bought my bow I went in and I shota Hoyt bow, I shot some Bowtechs, I messed around w/ a Browning, and then I picked up my Switchback and walked out the door with it. To me I shot better, it was more comfortable to my style, and I simply thought it was a better bow.

I'm not saying the other company's make bad bows, I just like the Mathews product. I hunt with people that shoot other brands and they still kill deer.

And yes they do spend money on advertising. They are a BOW company. They are in the business to SELL bows, and they do a good job of it.

Also trytan (and please correct me if I am wrong, as this just popped in my head and I think I heard it somewhere). The "new" Switchback XT is I believe 2 inches shorter than last years Switchback and may even shoot a little faster. Like I said I may be mistaken and apologize if I am, but to me that seems like a new bow.

Thats my .02 and I am out of this thread.
