Outstanding!

Ron LeClair you say? Did he ever sell his shop and get moved up north or does he still live in Potterville?

Just goes to show you never know what will show up on the pictures when you get them back. I always have trouble waiting to pick mine up. I bet that fox was surprised.

AWESOME!! I had a red tailed hawk come after me once. No idea why...I wasn't even out in the woods. Just standing in my front yard, and he flew straight at my head from across the street. Eye level the entire way! Must've been a baby hawk somewhere close by!
Anyway, great picture! Thanks for sharing!

Very cool. I had a hawk come down and nab a squirrel last year in the morning. It was cool how the woods fell silent for about an hour afterwards.

Thanks for posting a very interesting pic - I didn't know eagles would take on a fox...

ORIGINAL: huntingson

...The only thing I could figure was it was a great horned owl after the tassle on the top of my winter cap
- I recallhearing long ago that great horned owls had killed a few folks back in the days of coonskin hats - their talons were strong enough to penetrate the side of the head or the eye socket... googling the topic just turned up similar "I've have heard..."
