Great post there Matt!

Hunter4life87, Sometimes a little rain must fall in everyones life. The days of hearing someone say "It's OK (s)he didn't know better" are probably over. I can remember 3 years ago this place was sugar coated, and none ever criticized anyone else for unethical actions.


I don't think anyone on this board is under 13 so everyone should be able to take some criticism without running to mommy.

THANK YOU Matt / PA - I haven't been here long, but I will say I have left some other forums just for this very reason. Too many posters making it a &quot;personal vendetta&quot; and attacking people just for posting their opinions or likes/dislikes. It really accomplishes nothing outside of damaging the forum.

I have to agree completely with hunter4life87 on this one. As you can tell i'm new to the forum and spend most of my time lurking. So far i've noticed that many of those that berate those who made a mistake have MAJOR attitude problems. They may be &quot;good&quot; bowhunters but that goodness certainly doesn't carry over into the rest of thier lives. The best way to ensure that new bowhunters never again ask for &quot;help, advice or info&quot; is to savage them immediatly. I am new to bow hunting as this is my first year, however, I have hunted for over 40 years with modern firearms. As I said I usually spend my time lurking here to try to get a feel for those who are quality people and those that should be taken with a grain of salt.

I agree with hunter4life87. We need to take it easy on some of people on here. Especially the younger ones. All they want is a simple answer to their questions. They dont need to get yelled at for making a bad shot etc... Their still learning and we need to help them along without yelling at them.

For one thing, you cant get &quot;yelled at&quot; on here. It is a forum people. Second, the people getting &quot;yelled at&quot; are normally making mistakes that, well, shouldnt be made. Theyre those big city hunters who go out, spend big bucks on gear, go out into the woods and wound deer. Then they get home, come on here, and wonder, why did I miss? Now, granted, there are those on here who are younger than most (Myself included) But still, its not yelling. The old timers on here are just trying to help. Most of this is common sense CRAP that people are asking about. I myself get annoyed with the questions, but am happy to answer them, hoping I can educate another hunter on something I know of. But, cant we just DROP this subject?
