He's talking about using some kind of vanilla scented bubbles as an attractant. Also wants to know if a spray bottle will work. I don't know about anyone else, but I've been doing this for about 38 - 39 years. I've been trophy hunting since 1991. I've tried quite a few things during my hunting career and during the last 7 or 8 years I have whittled down to just the basics. I do not use any scent blocker or killer. Just wash my clothes in plain water and hang them outside to dry. I do not use my hunting clothes for anything but hunting. I store them in a duffel bag when not in use. As for deer scents, I've tried a lot of different things, but for the last 7 or 8 years I've only used 2 scent bombs (film cannisters) with Pete Rickards Indian Buck lure. I only use these after Nov. 1st. and place them 15 to 20 yards from my stand in a spot where I want to stop them for a shot. To stop them not to attract them. If it attracts them that's good too. Place them where they'll turn their head away from you when they stop to sniff it. Some of the other things I've tried have worked with limited sucess. I've found that by hunting funnels between doe bedding areas, you don't need to attract them, they will be there. You just have to hunt with the wind to your advantage. I never want the deer to know I've been there. In and out. I don't want to introduce any scent at all until I see what's going on. Usually by Nov. 1st the bucks will start becoming increasingly active and seek out the does. Then I will start putting out my stopping scent. Prior to this, from Oct. 20th until Nov. 1st., I may sit field edges with my grunt call and/or my decoy. Works good when some of the bigger bucks start comming out before dark in their eagerness to check out does. From what I've experienced, I've found that my sucess goes up the more I learn about the individual deer that live on the tract that I hunt. There really are no short cuts or gimmicks that will work better than time and effort spent scouting and studying your quarry.

i don't think it would count as baiting, because your are also testing the wind while spraying it. and also you can wear it as a cover scent.

Are you talking about the small bottle of bubble that kids play with?
Thats gotta be the crazyest thing I ever heard of, I mean you take a bottle of this stuff and mix it with your favroite sent.
Then you sit in your stand and blow bubbles, what happens if a deer walks by while your doing this?
Seem like to me those bubbles will drift a good distance before they touch something and pop.

i know its crazy but it works and yes the litle bubbles kids play with. i blow about 20-50 bubbles every 30 minutes or so.... but thats why you blow more than a few bubbles some will travel a good distance and some will travel short distances.... just depends on how many bubbles you want to blow

But blowing bubbles is a much more fun way to pass the time on the stand than a spray bottle.

I would think the soap or whatever in the bubbles would have a scent that would not be desirable? Maybe the other sent covers it. Never heard of it! Here in SD the wind blows so much that itwould never go the right direction and if you are hoping for something to come it down wind it will not likely be a wall hanger. I may try it on the one calm variable wind day per season we get
