RE: lost a deer this morning
call your local ECO, or being its after hours the troopers who can reach them via radio! I did some calling and left messages....well see what happens, hopefully ya dont loose it! But DONT BREAK THE LAW getting it back!
I am not sure where the "lower Hudson Valley" is, but here is a list of the ECO's http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/d...ter/index.html I would get this, find the local one where you are at and call immediatly! U can always come back here later Edited by - Lilhunter on 11/05/2002 17:07:42 |
RE: lost a deer this morning
also try this...
TIP! Stop poachers and polluters in their tracks! 1-800-TIPP DEC 1-800-847-7332 TIPP DEC is available 24 hours a day to report Environmental Conservation Law violations. It's toll free and confidential. Being he doesnt like hunters, he probably isnt one himself! Also you are not allowed in most states to go kill an animal and then by a lisc! Go after him NOW! |

RE: lost a deer this morning
The biggest buck I ever shot ran onto neighboring property. It was a GIANT 10 point that probably scored 150-160 P&Y. I called to ask permission and was first accused of hunting on their land. Then they asked where it went and I told them. They then told me I could not go after it. I later found out that the caretaker went after it, found it and checked it in as his own. All of this was verified as truth by the landowner's son who I met years later. He wasn't involved at all, but knew what had happened.
Today's small bucks are tomorrow's trophies. |
RE: lost a deer this morning
Sorry to hear that Bull. I tell you...the nerve of some people....
So how big was the buck anyhow??? Dave....man that's a bummer. You gotta be pretty pathetic to take a deer you know you didn't get and claim it as yours. I've never run into that problem before...hope I never do...but it's definitely got me thinking. |
