Default Shooter?

Would you shoot this buck? He's got some great beams, nice width as well as some good G2's.

Here is a pic of him from early in June:

And my most recent pics:

I would say yes, only because he is a big bodied deer, and might be at the height of his antler growth.
To pass a deer like that would take alot of discipline.

I would take that deer no doubt... I had one similar to that deer that I passed last year he wasn't as wide but he was taller and now I am kicking myself in the ass everytime I look at the trail cam pictures of him... So he's a shooter in my book..

be hard not to, but one more year of growth wouldnt hurt. If you can manage the area well enough to not risk him getting killed by another, you might want to wait.

Can't shoot em when they are great big if we shoot em when they are kinda big. Takes lots of discipline to let him walk, but he should be a real dandy next year. I'm passing this year and patterning him for next.

He isn't dragging his horns behind him yet. Be patient!

I'd say that deer is 2 1/2 maybe 3 1/2 years old... Especially in Wisconsin... I would say in another year maybe 2 he will be a Real Nice Buck... Right now I would put him in the 120-125 inch range... I'd give him another year to grow...

Lets see....I count...1,....2,....3,....4....yup, he's got 4 points on one side which makes him legal for me....so I would take him. This is the first year that I'm old enough that I have to follow PA's antler restrictions...so any buck for 4 points on one side is good enough for me.
