Certificates from other states like NY and Maryland are still good if it was a certified bowhunter safety class. When I used to teach classes with a different group closer to the PA line we continually got bowhunters from PA. They didn't give enough courses at the right times to meet everyones needs. We especially got them in spring classes when people were planning bear hunts to Canada and needed the certificates.

Over here on the western side of the state those courses are real hard to come by. A shame really. They've got a ton for using snares in PA, but few for the bowhunter class.

I took the class years ago and I don't care if your a novice or a self proclaimed expert, if you go in with an open mind, you'll learn something....and many states require it so if you get the chance, attend...
thanks for bring it to our attention.

I took that class a few years ago...between my first and second years of hunting. I learned a ton.....I think I actually think I learned more there, than I did at the normal HTE course. It is definitally money/time well spent!

Mauser... I'm not sure where you live, but you might consider finding one in Maryland. The thing is, in Maryland they're usually a 3 day course. They're usually nights from something like 6-9 for two days and then a Saturday session from 9-12 or 9-1. Maryland courses are recognized in all states and Canadian provinces.
