Tease tease tease. Call us when you are sitting behind the bugger with a smile as wide as his rack. :DI really hope you get him, cause it's torture to keep seeing a buck that big and it's not even august yet.
Fear not Rybohunter: This is the year. For the past 3 or 4 years Buck Magnet has awed us with pictures and stories of the big deer on their property. Good home grown monsters. And every year the season ends with them all either dying of old age or filling the camera lens the next summer. This is the year. Even a blind pig gets the accorn once in a while. This is BuckMagnets year. He's going to not over hunt. He's going to make the wind his shepard and God. If it isn't right he will not go there. This is the year Buck. Make 'em eat crow.:) I feel it coming. We will have a hell of a celebration.

That deer looks fat! A great deer no matter where he is, Although I'm glad to see he is from Pa.

Thanks guys,

I didn't find his sheds last year but I didn't have much time to look around. Its nearly impossible to get into the area where he beds and where I would expect to find his sheds.

Yep, 7 legal bucks in that group and I know of 3 other bucks that are legal that have been on the property that aren't big, nice young basket rack 7 and 8 points. Our property is over-run with deer for now since it was planted in soybeans instead of corn.I have been watching the other areas I hunt that only have corn and I am hardly seeing anything. The only people that hunt the property are my best-friend and I, and I couldn't count how many bucks we passed up the past two yearsbecause they weren't mature deer. I bet that I passed up 30 bucks last season including a nice 2-1/2 year old 10 point.

David, I have my vacation set for Oct 21st-27th and Nov. 4th-11th so I am probablly gonna leave the property alone until then. I have a bunch of stand sites ready for every imaginable wind/weather condition possible. I got a good feeling this year :D

Well it sounds like you got the timing pretty good. I'm cheering for you this year. Get one of those big dudes and then come on here and gloat and make us all Green with Envy. I'll be the first to congratualate you and bow to success. Of course, I'll probably also have some smart azzzzzz remark to put your feet back on the ground. Just make sureno one is using your stands or stinking up the area when you're not around. I'd check it regularly. Look for cars stopped, broke downor parked on roads. If you're not hunting patrol the perimeter before daylight watching for drop offs etc. Poachers will use all sorts of tricks when they find out some good deer are in the area. Take a proactive posture to stop it from happening.

Man that's a monster, and no one commented on his overall mass, that thing is gonna have some huge mass carried out all the way into his mainbeams, even though velvet makes them look bigger, look at the pic that showed a side view of his right main beam! I'm envious, good luck, hope you or your friend get to let the air out of him!
