I am upset.
Do any of you remember the monster buck I saw above my house? I made a post about it last week and here's a follow up.

O man that sucks! The fine they pay won't measure up to the crime they committed!<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: I am upset.
You know I just don't get it. Maybe I was raised differently but where's the honor of taking poached game. I started hunting when I was 22 years old. This Friday I celebrate my 39th birthday and my 17th deer hunting season. My father and I never did much together so when my father-in-law invited me to deer hunt it was very foreign to me. He not only taught me the proper use of the weaponry but also the proper ethics involved.
It is sad that this individual never had a mentor like my father-in-law. If he had the mere thought of taking poached game would make him as disgusted as we are here. I now am teaching my oldest son Zach how to hunt. The first thing that was taught to me is being handed down to my son. Always respect the game. Regardless of whether it is pheasant, rabbit, deer, turkey, etc. I can't imagine trying to look into my son's eyes and tell him, after everything that I've preached, that I took a deer like the one HCBF described legally. Of course if this guy is taking game illegally - lying to his kids is probably no problem either. Which is even more sad. You are absolutely right HCBF that is B.S. Sorry, I realize that I'm preaching to the choir but that is just wrong. . |
RE: I am upset.
Because my hunting buddy went and talked to the guys who poached it. He saw the head and everything. They have it in the freezer, I guess they are goin to mount this monster after gun season and try to be proud of it. But how could you be proud of poaching a monster like this buck? Just doesn't make sense to me.

RE: I am upset.
You have talked to them and seen the head and YOU ARE NOT ON THE PHONE TO THE LAW YET???? These guys need to be stopped before they strike again! Not making the call should be a crime in itself!
