I did not know anyone still thought of Ted as a spokes person, the man stands for everything that makes hunters look bad. If he would like to help hunters then he should stop his TV shows and his hunting videos. I was surprised that he is not in the WHA, let him be president of the NRA then everything that makes hunters look bad can be in one group.

What really concerns me are the commentsI'm reading here. Taken together, I'm reading thatsure, "Uncle Ted"doesn't have muchhunting skill and he's unethical, but he has a big mouthand it's all legal, so he's a hero?

I once heard his tribute to Fred Bear. Too bad hedoesn't follow that example.

I may not agree with everything he does, however it's his property, he's shooting them legally, and he uses the meat...Can't really complain about that.

Lol, oh yea. His "subliminal" intentions are good. He wasn't gut-shooting a fawn for the camera; he was "teaching" us "the importance of culling small deer as needed for the betterment of an overall her."

Not sure when it is on but I think Tuesdays. I Tvo the show and watch it on Satrudays. I have to say, I only watch his show because of the morbid fascination I have for idiots! His most recent show being talked about here was the worst promotion for hunting I have ever been witness to. I have already removed "Spirit of the Wild" from my auto record library in my dish.
I saw another show a while back when he was hunting hogs and there was a buffalo, Impala and zebra all in the view of the camera when he shot the hog. I know everyone has their opinion however, I promote free chase hunting. I have seen on here that he can do whatever he wants on his own property but that doesn't make it right OR ethical!

In reference to the above post I copied on here from page 3.
When you have a Buffalo, Impala and Zebra in the field of view when he shoots a hog [show from about 4 weeks ago] that pretty much proves he owns a high fence hunting ground. I don't know about the rest of you but I haven't seen too many wild buffalo, impala or zebra running lose in the midwest over the past 20 years...

From what you said he put a bad shot on a deer, it happens and a good hunter will work to never have that happen again. He then put the episode on tv. Stupid!

I will admit to being an Ex Ted head. :D I became a member of World Bowhunters the first year it was formed. It eventually became TN United Sportsmen. I use to have all kind of Ted gear, had all the Zebra striped jackets, hats, just all kind of stuff. My truck used to have some Ted decals on it. I had all of the old videos and the first few seasons of the Spirit of the Wild video seriesI used to think that he was just the greatest voice for us as hunters and outdoorsmen. About 3 or 4 years ago my views really started changing. All his hunts were on ranches etc, and he really started to turn me off with the way he presented his message. I finally decided that he isn't the guy that I want representing me anymore. I think that he has gotten way to out there and his ego has gotten way out of hand. I , and I know I am not the only one, really feel that he has really become a clown anymore. I never thoiught that I would feel that way but I sure do now. Just my view of him, but I feel he does more harm than good for us anymore.
