does any one else....

RE: does any one else....
ya know, my cuddeback acted up last week, it triggered randomly every few min until my card was filled. But i had the sensitivity as high as possible. Ilowered that and it seemed to fix the problem. It still had a few false triggers but not like before. I was really confused as to why it triggered. But now that i think about it, the heat factor makes alot of sense.

I have the same problem with some of my cameras. I contacted the manufaturer of the non-typical deer cam and they told me that I would indeed have less sensitivity picking up a game animal on the camera. In the hot weather Igetmore then a few pics of nothing

Unless the camera has a very good sensitivity control, most of them will trigger falsely in such heat.
The PIR sensor registers the heat radiating off of objects around them. As that heat passes through the zones of the fresnel lens it sets off the camera.

yes. think about this. when you put your batteries in the fridge or freezer they last longer. well when they are in heat they run out faster. also if your using digital cams they act up in the heat. all of mine do it.

Definetly. The way the heat sensors work is by detecting a heat DIFFERECE in the deer from the ambient air temp. Well, if that temp is HOTTER than the body heat of a deer.....it's gonna trigger. And the batteries will wear out quickly.
