Oh Boy!
 

I was letting my dog out Saturday and I saw this little fella hanging out in my back yard. I ran in the house to get my camera. When I came back outside I had to crawl around the pond so I could get close enoughto get his picture. Two bee stings and 15 minutes later I was within 12 yds. ( If only it was bow season, the pic would hopefully have me in it.) Man I can't wait for bowseason. He's the biggest buck I have ever seen in velvet. He may be the biggest buck I have seen period. I'm guessing he is around a 150 class deer. The weird thing is he isn't a very big bodied deer. I'm thinking he may still be young, but what a RACK. Tell me what you all think. Oh I live in Northeast Ohio.

i saw the color at first and i was like, oh thats a nice little bull elk then i was like whoa. and hes in your backyard? well with the price of gas this year you wont have to spend nothin going to your huntin land. get a cup of coffee,a newspaper,a croisant and a bow and sit on the back porch and be back in bed before the birds wake up. nice buck and good luck on him.

That pics about 35 yards from my floor to ceiling bedroom window. You think my wife would be upset when woke up to the sound of an arrow being released? I figure she won't stay mad forever.

He's easy 150 and the reason he's small bodied is they haven't begun to put their fall weight on not to mention hair etc...you'll see him in a different light when/if you see him this fall. Good luck, he's a dandy...wow.

It may just be the lighting, but he has a very dark coat. Beautiful rack on that guy.Best ofluck to youthis fall in taking him.

Its not just the lighting. His coat was actually very dark. It was the second thing I noticed about him.

Heres another picture of the same buck. It tried to lighten it up a bit. He is a beauty. I'm driving my wife nuts talking about this deer. So this is my best outlet to talk about his buck. Thanks guys.

That is a mighty impressive buck.
To make 150 as an 8 point would befantastic! I think he will gross closer to 140. Still better than anything I have seen around here.

That is one beautiful rack.Width, mask and long tines. Nice job getting close enough for a picture. That was a feat in itself.

The record so far in Ohio is this 202 1/8 buck killed in Warren County last year I believe.
