I would like to try a string loop this year to see if it will increase my accuracy at longer distances... plus to help in the reduction of serving wear. What kind do you reccommend?

I use a string loop, always have and I like my results.

I always shot from the string. But now that I've tried a loop I do like it. I like how I can draw, let down, and draw again with no worries about the arrow falling off.

By adding weight to the center of the string, you are going to lose a little speed. That being said, a loop is still the way to go, but to minimize the loss use a lighter one like the string loop, or knotless loop. Stay away from the metal "D" rings, they are just too darn heavy. Besides, if you smack your forearm w/ a "D" ring......boy oh boy, will it leave a mark!!

I put one on my bow, the kind you tie on with a certain Knot. but, It seems like the knots are gonna come undone and its always in the back of my mind that when drawing i'm gonna jack myself in the face when the knot lets loose..

What kind are the Knotless ones?

I'm not exactly sure how the knotless works, but it has a loop at either end. It's string, like the other.

The knot that ties the loop together is a "clove hitch." It's one of the strongest knots out there. It looks weak, but it pulls tight on itself and, if tied correctly, will never fail. Never. This is a very common knot in the fire service, so it must work.

Apparently, it slips over either end of the bowstring.

As I've said before, there is no good reason not to use a loop.

As far as which one to go with? Just take it in to your pro shop and have them set you up with whatever they carry. I really don't think any one is better than the next.

Well i tried one tonight.. And it just doens't suit me.. I'll have to wait till i get a new bow so i can get a 1/2" shorter draw length.. It just wasn't comfortable..
